Being able to learn music is essential in every child's life, and once they can play an instrument and MAKE the music, all bets are off in the best way possible!! In order to play in band this year, my students will need playing masks and bell covers to keep the spread of air particles to a minimum. This will allow my students to learn in person again, after last year of all virtual learning, including band lessons.
Teaching in a lower-income school district, not all of my students can afford to buy these essential materials to keep us all safe. It would be wonderful to have the ability to give some of my students a way to play their instrument at school AND at home, especially if they have other friends in band and want to practice together.
