Learning fractions is a major part of the third grade curriculum. In the past my students have had a hard time visualizing part of a whole and comparing different fractional units. Due to time restraints, we do not have a lot of time to create the type of visual fraction aides that I would like for them to use in class and at home. I would use the Hands On Fraction Student Packs as an enrichment to my lessons and the students would use them as visuals and guidance for working at home. The student packs would be a great tool for my students while they learn one of the more difficult standards in third grade.
