Some of my students have severe visual and cognitive impairments. Although they are middle school age, they are still learning about colors. Imagine bringing those colors to life for these students through the scents of the markers and playdough. It will be so exciting to see the students step on the light up floor mat as they learn their right from left while also learning colors. The lights from the mat are important with their visual needs. These students are high risk for Covid and must learn virtually. These sensory materials will help me connect with them in enriching activities that will bring them endless enjoyment in their education.
