The foundation science of Veterinary medicine, like human medicine, is anatomy and physiology. Veterinary assistants need knowledge of anatomy to be effective in their careers. These specimens will be used to teach animal anatomy and physiology to students in the veterinary assisting program. The students will learn about the various systems of the body during classroom teaching and the specimens will be used to allow the students to see the system as they occur in various animal species. The specimens that are requested are cats and fetal pigs. Rabbits will be ordered through separate funding.
