Our Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade students need a sensory path so that they can come into our classroom ready to learn. The demands and expectations of students keep growing. They are expected to do so much academically. Providing them with the sensory path gives them an opportunity to take charge of their emotional growth and learning. When the sensory path is put in place, a student/class could complete the sensory path coming to/from our classroom or at any time they may need. This gives the students an opportunity to exert some energy in order for them to transition to/from the classroom ready to learn and grow.
Sensory paths utilize a series of movements to decrease behaviors while increasing cognition.
Thank you for helping our classroom/school be the best place to learn and grow!
