The books I have chosen are to help our population see themselves in books and learn more about Hispanic authors. National Hispanic History Month is from September 15th-October 15th and I plan to focus on these then. The phonics workbooks are to help supplement the reading instruction and were suggested during the Orton-Gillingham training I participated in this summer. The valances and colorful banners are to help make the room more inviting. I have used black backgrounds throughout the room to help the colors pop and these items will make it even more inviting for the children.

About my class
