Due to our community's low income status, students seek first aid and health needs primarily from the school nurse. The school nurses use much more in supplies than the annual budget permits. Having a good refrigerator in the clinic to store students’ medicines while at school can help the student's family by not having to discard medicine that has been unrefrigerated for a certain amount of time. A paper shredder is also needed to discard obsolete medical records in a timely manner without having to store and depend on an outside shredding company to come pick up annually. Healthy students are happy students and happy students are the key to making them academically successful! Thank you for your consideration in funding my request.
