The use of the individual paddle dry-erase boards will engage each student with their voice, thoughts, and feelings, without actually saying them aloud for others to hear. I hope the boards will help students participate and share more about themselves. Additionally, the artifacts will not only spark our Social Studies goal for students to "Think like a historian", but it may create an interest in wanting to learn more about the ancient civilizations, which go beyond pyramids in Egypt. I believe the items requested, will be the bait and hook, to help my students focus and crave more in my class.
