Previously, I taught self-contained intense intervention so flexible seating was easily accessible. However, when I took my new job as a kindergarten teacher, flexible seating was not available unless I paid for it out of pocket. My students love to sit on the floor, rock, bounce, and move in any way that they can. I like to let my students be up and moving around, but I need to make sure that they can do this in a safe and comfortable way. Flexible seating options in my classroom would make a huge impact on my student's ability to remain engaged in lessons and enhance their learning environments. Seating should be just as flexible as the way that each student learns.
