As I stated in my introduction, this group of students were the first to experience COVID in full effect. They were taken out of their preschools, spaced 6 feet apart last year with no sharing of materials, to now having a bit more normalcy in the classroom. To help my students gain more exposure to different genres and authors, I would like to build my classroom library with your help. Throughout the year, I create themes and read books to follow those themes. With this selection of books, I believe I can help my students figure out what they like in a book, where to look, and expose them to new things. While my reading to the students is enjoyable, I also like to be read to! When students want to read to me, I invite them back with me. By helping purchase the wobble stools, this tool will allow the students to focus better and keep them more alert. Children need to move. At this young age, they are fidgeting all the time. By exposing the students to flexible seating, we are allowing students to take charge of their school experience and help them focus on tasks at hand.
