Within the classroom, students are awarded success tickets for academics, character, behavior, improvement … all the things that reinforce positive global citizenship. Success tickets are accompanied by incentives that will spark kids' interests, but the ultimate goal is for students to believe in their own worth after all the praise, points, and prizes have been awarded.
Sometimes middle school students can’t name one quality they like about themselves; we want to change that.
We have the framework in place, and we have already created and secured incentive items, but we can't afford the pizzazz that will truly rally students to be the best versions of themselves. The incentives I requested will be used as special prizes.
As teachers, we've done everything we can financially afford to do, but our students deserve more. Please help us make this program a true game changer. We want to show our students that they each have a world to contribute, if only they will see it.
