Last year I had my students try this program. To say that it kept them engaged as I was working individually with other students is an understatement. The games also were used to motivate students to complete class work. I loved the fact that students were learning and practicing math skills without knowing it.
Legends of Learning’s concept of having students create avatars with a variety of ways to individualize them hooked them from the start. The learning approach where correct answers gives one's avatar powers that will help them defeat creatures keeps my students engaged. Thank you for considering the worthiness of this project.
