My students are an awesome group of kids! They are hardworking and have the motivation to learn. The majority of my students are born to immigrant parents and are English Learners. Most of my student's parents are consistently working, therefore many of my students go home to feed themselves and rarely have anyone helping them out with their homework. They have limited financial resources at home and many, if not most, do not have access to computers, tablets, and/or Internet access. My students live in a city in California that has a two mile radius and a population of about 43,000 people. Many of my students live in small homes/apartments with multiple families. Our school is has approximately 1,000 students. Ninety-nine percent of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch.
