My students currently participate in various activities that provide them with hands-on opportunities to act as Agribusiness analysts, marketing specialists, business managers, researchers, and farmers. My students are using data to help them plan, organize, and create sustainable Agricultural businesses that can be used to help communities grow, harvest, and sell organically grown food.
My students currently use handwritten statistical data tracking methods to track and analyze their AgriStem data. They are learning to use technology to help them find better-growing environments, temperature settings, and watering schedules for their crops. These skills are important to the success and sustainability of each garden, plant, and the crop they are responsible for nurturing and bringing to harvest and then to market. My students are eager to infuse technology in the data tracking process so they’ll have more accurate data storage while working outside of the classroom.
