My students will be using an online learning program to fill in the gaps in their learning caused by COVID and many other reasons. Some of the students are 4 grade levels below where they should be at this point in 6th grade. Using headphones allows them to concentrate better and it keeps their level private. They can learn on their level without their peers knowing how far behind they are. Students that are on or above grade level will be able to extend their learning and continue to move forward. Gaining confidence in math makes a huge difference! As students master concepts their confidence grows. Believing that they can do math is the biggest hurdle most students face. Being able to use the online learning program in addition to my daily lessons will help students progress faster than they could otherwise!
