We have requested 4D models and scrubs to be used in our veterinary science class. Students will be using the 4D models of the pig, dog, and cat to learn about animal anatomy and the skeletal system. The skeletal and muscular system are shown in the 4D models and are important for students to see and use hands on. They'll label the models and learn what bones are located in what areas. This is a veterinary class so students need to know the parts of the body to help their "patients". We allow student to practice on the models before we bring in any real animals. Students can also use the models to practice bandaging and handling practices.
The veterinary scrubs were requested so that students can wear them over their clothing when conducting dissections, labs, and practice veterinary scenarios. Wearing the scrubs not only helps protect clothing, but it makes students look the part. Wearing the scrubs will help students get into the mindset of "working" in a veterinary clinic while conducting the duties of a veterinarian and veterinary technician.
