My students are learning disabled and struggle with the simplest of task. They come from low income, Spanish speaking homes. The parents are not proficient in English and it makes it difficult for them to help their children. In the classroom at times it is difficult to grasp their attention. Our focus is differentiated instruction which is easier to achieve in a small group. We currently have a table which is not very functional. My students need a small structured meeting place where they can improve their literacy skills.
