My students are all young POC that come from either immigrant/refugee backgrounds or are part of the more socio-economically challenged background. They're all amazingly talented kids who I try to provide a strong POC leadership role for. I aim to nurture and encourage a desire to learn and enjoy the art processes I'm teaching them. It is super refreshing to work with students who are so excited and eager to create art, who appreciate making and talking about art!
