I will be using this colored printer to create engaging hands-on materials to aid in student communication and learning. Colored pictures with help me bring the world to life for students that seldom leave their own neighborhood. At my school, teachers do not have access to a colored printer and the materials are not as exciting for my young students when everything is printed in black and white. I want my students to be able to see in color! This will help them build vocabulary, practice speech sounds, and build early literacy skills. I will be able to print visual schedules and other classroom learning materials to help these students reach their goals. Through pictures we will give them a voice. These visual supports will help students with very limited language have their wants and needs met in the classroom and at home.
