My students are identified gifted and talented, or show traits of giftedness. They LOVE STEM activities because it allows them to actively engage with materials and fosters their ingenuity and creativity. After over a year of digital learning, students are eager to once again collaborate and engage with hands-on materials!
My Kindergarten-Fifth Grade students will use these materials daily to complete STEM lessons which encourage problem-solving, build critical thinking skills, encourage teamwork, and build resilience. STEM activities also allow students to take ownership over their learning and develop leadership skills as they choose to engage in activities aligned with their areas of interest. Because of COVID restrictions, my classroom requires multiple sets of each material so that students can remain socially distanced and healthy, while still directly engaging with hands-on materials.
