Imagine that you are unable to communicate in any form with those around you. Think of how frustrating it would be if you need or want something or hurt somewhere but have no way to express yourself. My students struggle to express their wants and needs and often have behavior issues because of their increase in frustration. I will be making individual icons using the toner so that each student can be assisted with their communication needs based on their unique learning styles and cognitive level. The visual icons will allow them to express themselves, work with peer tutors, socialize, and progress towards their individual educational goals.
