Last year, the future of French at PHS was in doubt. Over the course of the year, the program has grown and will continue to do so by adding dual enrollment and an engaged French Honor Society (Société Honoraire de Français) and French Club.
To support the expansion of the program, the classroom, and participation in the organizations, we are in need of materials. Through your support, students will have the learning supported by reducing distractions and we will foster an understanding of French as a global language. The addition of a printer will help the classroom and clubs by making colorful flyers, reprint make-ups, and print-outs that would otherwise cause delays. Students will use dictionaries to investigate terms and idiomatic language without the distraction of their phones. Lastly, the crayons will be added to my art supplies to engage the creative side of students and create meaningful connections between language and images.
