The concept of exercising to music is very helpful for special needs students, as it aids in retaining their attention span and creates a fun environment for participation. By having bluetooth the students can request music that appeals to them and is at their level, along with songs that they already sing in class.
For many special needs students music and movement go together to create a higher level of participation and fun. Most of my students receive one on one services, so the exercise steps and stretch bands allow me to participate with the students and model the daily exercise goal.
