When I was in third grade, my teacher had an art project that we added to throughout the year, wore as a classroom community, and had fun while doing it. Flash foreword to nearly 30 years later, I want to start that tradition with my class. I want students to decorate a t-shirt that will serve as an art project as well as a record of their learning throughout the year of what we study. For example they will add shapes to their shirt after we study geometry in math, they will do a self portrait when they study self identity and family, they will add an animal they researched when they finish their research project. Those are just a few examples that will be on the t-shirt.
