Upon completion of the program I will be certified as Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher(RYT-200) and a Breathe for Change Wellness Champion, which will qualify me to lead wellness programs for my entire school and community.
Yoga is so much more than just poses and how you move and incorporate your body. It is also a way to connect with your mind, body and spirit. There's a story behind every instance of misbehavior, work refusal, defiance, or falling asleep, and 9 times out of ten, the story won't make you angry--it will break your heart.
Children experience a wide array of emotions, and teaching them how to cultivate calmness within themselves allows them to process emotions and events more effectively.
When we become mindful of our present experience and needs, we are better equipped to respond with compassion, kindness and support. And when we acknowledge our emotions in community, a door opens to support one another.
