Having playtime is so important to young children for a ton of reasons! It helps them develop skills like sharing, explaining, negotiating, imagining, counting, and coordinating the movement of objects with their hands. As a teacher, I'm incredibly passionate about making sure all children have access to toys that help them develop these important skills.
When I first taught Kindergarten, my students' all-time favorite toy was Magnatiles! They would excitedly gather around and build creative designs like rocket ships, doll houses, car garages, hotels, and playgrounds. Magnatiles are an amazing toy that help students practice beginning math and science skills that are similar to ones found in engineering, architecture, and design. Students often collaborate to build what they're imagining and excitedly explain their creations to their classmates and teachers. I often take pictures to share with parents! The tiles are tough and hard to lose or damage because they are magnetic and stick together, which make them a great addition to any classroom.
Magnatiles draw students of all interests and encourage collaboration, creativity, and play! Please help my class purchase a set!
