This isn’t a specific project, this is my daily life as a special education teacher. There isn’t equity or equality for my students in school. I do my best every year to try to even things out. It’s not easy and takes money and effort. I wish there was a project that o could think of to make school life equitable for my students. Not only are the challenged everyday with their learning disability but they are also challenge by being economically disadvantaged. Out school will supply extra folders binders pencils or a back pack here and there, but in middle school, they way you dress and what you have also matters. I try to give them rewards and gifts a lot because I know it doesn’t happen very often at home like it does for most of their peers within the school.
