I've taught Wonder and Boy On The Porch to students, but with only a few copies of the books. My kids have greatly enjoyed learning about these books' themes of offering human kindness, love, and acceptance to others, especially for those with special needs and unique talents. Students have totally engaged and identified with these books' characters, their ordeals and triumphs.
With a copy of these books in hand, as they journey with the books' characters, each student would be able to improve their reading fluency, an absolutely essential skill.
