The books that were selected were chosen to enhance my students overall reading experience. My students read literature daily as a class; in small groups; and also independently. Each book is a treasure waiting to be discovered. While reading the books aloud and sharing in small groups, the students will read and see a wide variety of characters that are relatable to them. Our class reads in small, socially distanced pods throughout the classroom. My students enjoy making predictions and connections to the characters found within the pages. Our time is spent making connections with literary characters and their stories.
