Students need exciting and fun ways to encourage reading. By providing a listening center, children will have the independence of listening/reading their favorite story independently. Having a listening center will provide ways to build on vocabulary and early decoding skills.
Students also will enjoy the world of reading by having opportunities to borrow books to take home to enjoy with loved ones. The lending library will be used for children to check out books and have home-school connection activities to encourage home/school partnerships.
Having the book cart will allow me to properly organize books and display them for children to easily check out.
