The materials will make a difference in my students' learning in various ways. Growing up, there were not many Spanish materials in the classroom besides books. Now in the year 2021, there are many resources and supplies that can be implemented into the classroom to make it feel like a home environment, while students are at their second home--school. My goal is to include a safe space where my students feel welcomed, engaged, and supported with items that help represent their diverse backgrounds. In addition, especially through the pandemic that we are experiencing, I am planning on focusing on Social Emotional Learning. Many students are struggling at home and I want to assure that once they enter my classroom, they are able to share their thoughts, ideas and emotions, as well as being heard. Overall, teaching and learning is important and it be successfully done if one meets the students needs first, just like in Maslow's hierarchy of needs

About my class
