My students don't have access to essential writing tools to express mathematical equations in their classroom centers as well as when they are engaged in group activities. They are often apprehensive in their responses and it is difficult to gage their understanding. With the white boards, students would be more interactive with their learning by visually displaying their knowledge in a less inhibiting way and I will be able to quickly ascertain what learning gaps need to be addressed for each student. This will also increase equity in the classroom.
