Teaching while wearing a face covering is part of the new reality for most of today's educators, but this project enables clear communication! Although necessary, speaking through layers of cloth muffles and blurs speech. It also decreases volume. In other words, it is much harder to communicate with students!
Communication is key for a successful learning experience!
Fortunately, a solution exists. The teacher wears a headset microphone, connected wirelessly to a small-yet-powerful portable speaker. The teacher can position the microphone underneath the face covering, and the result is clear communication! Both the microphone and the speaker are rechargeable, increasing the solution's flexibility and convenience. This project funds a headset-microphone system for me to implement in my 3rd grade ELA and Social Studies classroom!
