In my classroom we work on Pre-Employment Transition skills. Students explore jobs and careers, practice self-advocacy, work readiness and participate in work-based learning when available. We want to establish a school based vocational program, in which middle school students can learn and practice employability skills. Students with disabilities work along side peers under staff supervision to complete jobs and provide crucial services to the school. Students will complete applications, submit resumes, interview for open positions, and will be evaluated on their work performance.
