Last year during the COVID-19 pandemic, PreK was much different. Due to health and safety concerns, students were not aloud to share toys or play together in the same area. This school year will be much different and I am hoping to provide as many play experiences as I can.
With these donated materials, I want to create an area in our classroom where students can use their imagination while engaging and collaborating with each other. Students can use their imagination by pretending to be a chef, serve each other at a restaurant or be a family and take care of the baby dolls in our dramatic play area. I also want to use dress up costumes and tools, like the doctor's kit, to teach students about jobs and people in their community.
