I am returning to First Grade after teaching 8th grade for 10 years and need to help my classroom get organized and prepared to teach my students who have never been to school before. My classroom has the bare minimum in it, and I want more for my students. I want their first year in a school building to help spark their love for learning.
The items I have picked are to help my students with materials that will excite them to learn and keep their things organized. The chart stand is essential to help me present material that all students can see to interact with. The phonics games will be beneficial in keeping them engaged in learning the basic reading strategies that some missed out on due to distance learning last year. The binder pockets and laminating sheets will help me make lessons that students can write on to practice math and reading skills over and over by whipping the sheets clean when they are finished. The caddies are to help keep their materials organized on their tabletops. The blocks are to help keep their young minds stimulated and increase their creativity.
