Elementary school students need a space and the tools to learn self-regulation and other important life skills like being a good friend, dealing with conflict, and managing their problems. I want my office to be inviting and comfortable for all students, but especially our youngest learners that might struggle during the day!
We need your help to provide them with the space and tools they can use to get ready to learn! Tools like noise-canceling headphones, comfortable seating and visual timers will help supply our calm down corner, while floor pillows and games can be used during group counseling sessions to build social skills and practice emotion regulation. Having an inviting space with the right tools can make all the difference when a kindergarten or 1st grade student needs a break!
