I teach a self-contained class of students with special needs. Surviving this pandemic has been especially challenging for them. They are returning to the classroom after a year of remote learning. Sitting at their desks and focusing on the lesson is difficult for those who are easily distracted.
These sensory tools will allow them to keep their hands occupied while they are focusing on the lesson.
It will reduce their stress without distracting their classmates. With the proper tools and resources, my students can achieve their full potential by getting equitable access to an education tailored to their unique needs.
