The ukuleles will be used in the 6th-grade general music classroom. Students will learn how to read and play chords. The ukulele project will we a 1 unit (eight weeks of lessons). Students will use a highly motivational beginning ukulele method, Ukulele Karate.
Beginning Students will work their way through 9 belt levels, there are 2 strumming songs per level getting gradually more complex as students get closer to a Black Belt. After coming out of a school year with entirely distance learning I want to give the student the opportunity to expand their love of music by learning to play an instrument.
