My students are desperate for hands on materials after enduring remote learning. Providing my students with a classroom library full of leveled books will allow them to grow their reading skills. The classroom library is often a space where students finish work, listen to stories, read with their friends and read independently. Students will be able to choose these books according to their interests and skills.
Working with diverse learners in Kindergarten, First Grade and Second Grade highlights the importance of building foundational reading skills. My classroom library will allow my students to explore their interests and independence in becoming readers.
