My students come from low income homes with little opportunity to practice real life job skills. The file boxes and rolling cart will assist with providing my students the opportunity to practice filing and organization skills. The ear buds will be used to support lessons for students who need material read to them so they can better understand what they are required to complete.
With the file boxes and rolling cart, my students will be able to practice a variety of skills that will allow them to work at a business or organize a business. They will also be able to choose careers that interest them. The best way to increase job skills is to research careers and practice the skills needed. These items will continue to help my students grow in their ability to job search and practice. My students already have shown an interest in finding careers and obtaining employment. The ear buds will allow for independent reading and the file boxes and rolling cart will allow for skills practice. This project will enrich their job training experience and support transition skills required prior to graduation.
