Students have not had the opportunity to celebrate various holidays in school due to the pandemic. Our students will have a pumpkin patch brought to our play yard in order to enjoy the simple pleasures of October. The materials in this project will allow students to decorate individual pumpkins during their Fall Festival. The beauty of this project is that it will allow our students to have a safe and joyful social experience; continuing to redevelop individual social skills that were so badly damaged due to the pandemic. Students will spend the afternoon celebrating their Fall Festival in their costumes while decorating pumpkins and having COVID friendly class celebrations. It is my goal that although we are still so far from "normal" to continue to make my students elementary experience as "normal" as possible.
