Students in my chemistry classes perform a hands-on lab once every week. Many of these labs require the use of a scale or balance to measure out chemicals, or mass glassware.
Right now, 12 students must share one small, plastic digital scale, causing a bottleneck in the use of our lab time. This same scale gets used for every other science class besides chemistry as well. Having one more scale, especially a quality one, would aid 60-80 students in my science classes each year!
A good scale is an essential part of the science classroom. This equipment will go a long way in extending learning for our students.
