Due to a lack of funding and exponential growth within our robotics program, we are in need of a second Vex IQ field with game elements. As of right now, our team only has one field to practice coding and rehearsing real-life simulations in preparation for robotics competitions. With almost 30 students now, one field is becoming crowded and difficult to practice with.
A second Vex IQ field will be crucial as we grow as a team and a program! It will ensure that our growing team will have plenty of opportunities to improve their craft and practice their skills. Additionally, this will allow us to implement our new mentor/mentee program between the 5th graders and their younger peers. While the older teams are practicing, the mentees will be watching, learning, and getting hands-on practice on a second field. It is our hope that with this second field, we will continue to encourage and foster a collaborative, team-oriented robotics environment, where students are able to grow and learn.
