These books will be used by students all year long. We need high interests books and a variety of genres to get students excited about reading. My classes all participate in an independent reading program where they get to choose the books they read for the first 10-15 minutes of each class period. It has been successful so far, the only thing missing is more and more books! I have selected a variety of books that I think will be of high interest to my students. They will be excited to see more books, newer books, and a bigger of variety of books available to them in the classroom. Giving students the option to choose books to read during their time at school increases their chances of becoming lifelong readers! Help me to create a joy for reading in my classroom!
