Reading is one of the most important skills that a student will learn while in school. The more students read, the better they get. Many of my students did not have the opportunity to read a variety of books while they were learning at home during the COVID shutdown. It is important that my students are able to access different levels and genres of books that they missed out on.
Flexible seating and new books will make my students excited to practice their reading skills. In order to motivate my students to read, they need a wide variety of books to choose from. Additionally, the leveled readers will allow students at all reading levels to find books they will enjoy in the classroom library. These books will help students meet Nevada State Standard RL.4.(1-3) Key Ideas and Details and RI.4.(1-3) Key Ideas and Details.
