Students will create recipes using the mixer to increase independence. They can bring home the recipes to share with families. Students are able to practice recipes in school and then bring them home to their families to share. We can save extra ingredients and snacks in the refrigerator to use again later or eat the next day.
Students have made yogurt parfaits with fruit, pudding pie and s'mores. Students gain practice with reading, sequencing and retelling. They read the recipe, then they sequence the steps of the recipe and last they combine ingredients in make a new food.
