Children (3-5) are a ball of emotions and some are non-verbal making them unable to articulate how they are feeling. Students will be utilizing Ruler curriculum. What is RULER? Recognize, Understand, Label, Express and Regulate – it's a way for children to use their emotions effectively – which improves everything from decision making and judgment to physical and mental health, according to Yale researchers. Students will be creating their own mood meter which they will take home and utilize to improve communication with loved ones. Learning to properly label emotions which will help with understanding how to regulate them. The goal is for the student to learn and grow in their classroom.
