Many students struggle to see the board because they have broken glasses, lost glasses, or may need to be tested for glasses. The clipboards will allow for the students to sit on the carpet and be able to successfully see the board and participate with the rest of the class, thus improving the educational opportunities. In addition, the clipboards will allow for outside learning when the weather permits. I have found that the outdoor classroom allows for different thought processes which translates to a higher level of learning for my more advanced students.
