Students engage best when their world is bright and colorful. Books with colorful pictures can capture their imaginations better than black and white. Our Creative Curriculum consists of students learning different units of studies such as clothes and trees. Having a color printer would bring the world of color inside my classroom, and build students understanding of these topics and and content visually. However, to do that requires a color printer and ink. Younger students need a lot of hands-on activities for station work.
A classroom should be visual stunning with vibrant pictures throughout the room. My students need to experience the fun and joy that comes with a colorful world. They should have the activities and tools they need to not only learn, but to have fun doing it! Unfortunately, my classroom does not have a printer due to our district changing from printers in the classrooms to having one black and white printer/copy machine per hallway. The copies are limited due to funding and because of this, I always run out of my "copy quota" before the end of the Quarter. It is critical to have this printer to make any materials for my students and to be able to print in color. The ink that comes with this printer will last up to 2 years, making it very cost effective and will allow me to help future students as well. Please help me give that to them by funding this project! Thank you!
